Syndiotactic polystyrene (SPS) filament with a stereo-regular and highly crystalline molecular structure.
It has unique material properties such as high hydrophobicity, excellent quick-drying properties, and heat resistance.
Features
Excellent hydrophobicity
The molecular structure of syndiotactic polystyrene (SPS) has excellent hydrophobicity due to its stereo-regularity and high crystallinity.
Comparison of Resin Features
It compensates for the functional weaknesses of polypropylene and polyester.
Excellent quick-drying properties
Due to its high crystallinity resulting from the steric regularity of its molecular structure, it has excellent hydrophobicity, so fabrics made with Syndiotactic polystyrene (SPS) filament dry quickly of moisture, contributing to improved comfort when worn. Quick-drying performance is about 1.8 times higher than that of polyester. (*In-house test)
Time required for residual moisture content to decrease to 5%
Test Method
After washing and dehydrating a 12 cm square fabric sample in a laundry net, the sample was dried at 25°C, 70% RH, and the residual moisture content was calculated from the weight measurement.
Stainability
As with PET, dyeing with disperse dye and sublimation printing are possible.
