Human Resources Training and Development Systems to support the development of motivation and ability
As a trading company, Kuraray Trading's most important asset is its people, and we believe that strengthening our human resources is the key to improving our corporate strength.
By providing learning opportunities that respond to individual motivation, we aim to create a cycle that leads to skill development and job performance and further motivation, thereby increasing work engagement and corporate value.

Training Map
The skills required for each year (job level) are organized into three major categories: interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and self-skills, and are clearly indicated to provide the best educational opportunities for acquisition.
1 The course fee will be covered. The guideline is to take at least one course every three years.
2 A congratulatory gift will be provided upon successful completion of company-designated qualifications.
3 The program is open to applicants and selected applicants.
4 The program is implemented annually for all employees.
Hierarchy-specific training
This training program is designed to acquire the "interpersonal skills" and "self-skills" required for each level of employees.
New employee training
In addition to on-the-job training in the department to which the employee is assigned, training is provided over the course of one year so that the employee can acquire basic skills as a member of society, including new employee induction training, follow-up training after six months, and follow-up training after one year.
Training for young employees and mid-career employees
Each training will be focused on the target year so that the students can complete the tasks for each year.
Next Generation Leader Training
The training will provide new leaders who will be leading a team with the necessary perspectives and skills.
Management Training
Training is provided for managers who are responsible for organizational management.
Other training programs, such as selection training and training at the time of promotion, are tailored to each age group.
Self-development support
This training program is designed to acquire the "interpersonal skills" and "self-skills" required for each level of employees.
Support for distance learning courses
This training program is designed to provide participants, regardless of age or occupation, with the skills they need to address the issues they are currently facing.
The Kuraray Group offers more than 250 distance learning courses. Of these, the company will pay for courses related to skill improvement (Kuraray Trading's unique system).
Support for qualification acquisition
This program is open to all employees, regardless of age or occupation, and is designed to promote support for the acquisition of qualifications, with the aim of improving the skills of each employee.
The company will pay for the examination fees and study textbooks for the designated qualification examinations. We also offer a cash bonus for those who pass the certification exam.
Global Talent Development
We have an extensive support system to develop human resources who will be active in the global field, including global mindset training for new employees, support for attending English conversation classes, support for TOEIC examinations, and a short-term overseas dispatch system.
Education on compliance
Compliance training is conducted multiple times a year for all employees. In addition to training as a group, Kuraray Trading also conducts its own training to raise compliance awareness throughout the company.

Promotion of women's activities
In today's world where people continue to advance their careers beyond marriage, childbirth, and other life stage changes, we will create an environment that supports female employees who wish to work while raising children and not give up on their careers.
We will further strengthen our support system for employees who have vague concerns as they enter a new stage in their lives, so that they can remain active for a long time.

Increased engagement Motivational Mechanisms
Mentor/mentee system
A mentor-mentee system has been introduced for new employees to help them settle into the company and stimulate internal interactions across departments. By being involved in the training of junior staff, the mentors themselves have a chance to learn more about the company, leading to increased engagement.

We are improving engagement by holding 1-on-1 meetings with employees, mainly younger employees, to understand their expectations of the company and to engage in dialogue.

In-House Social Events
We hold events that enable interaction across departments, such as beer parties at Kuraray Group companies, social contribution activities, participation in athletic meets hosted by building tenants, employee roundtable discussions, and club activities in which volunteers are invited to participate.
Long Service Award
Awards are presented to employees who have been with the company for 20 years every year at the anniversary ceremony of the founding of the company. This program recognizes employees who have been with Kuraray Trading for many years and have contributed to the company.
Health Promotion (Mental Health Care)
To enable all employees to lead healthy lives both mentally and physically, we have a full care support system with consultation services available for each case. In addition, stress checks are conducted once a year for all employees, and counseling sessions are provided as needed.
