Thorough Compliance Measures
1. Compliance Activities
In accordance with the policies and code of conduct established by the Kuraray Group, we have established a system that is more effective and detailed in consideration of our characteristics as a trading company.
1. Establishment and continuous improvement of environmental management system
The Compliance Committee has been established to improve the effectiveness of the Group's overall compliance structure and internal control system.
2. Compliance Training
In addition to the training conducted by the Kuraray Group, we aim to raise compliance awareness by regularly holding compliance training sessions planned independently by the Company.
For example, in compliance training for all overseas offices, Japanese staff members visit local offices and strive to educate and raise awareness of compliance through exchanges of opinions with national staff members, with whom they normally have little interaction.
3. Proprietary Seminars
We plan and hold various seminars on our own to learn and comply with the various laws and regulations required for trading company activities.
In 2023, in response to the Subcontract Act, which has been strengthened in operation, seminars were held to learn about laws and regulations and practical responses, and all sales-related personnel attended the seminars.
2. Our Pledge
As a member of the Kuraray Group, we are committed to social contribution in its business activities in accordance with the Group's Code of Conduct.
3. Internal Reporting System
Employee Counseling Center
The Kuraray Group has established the Kuraray Group Employee Consultation Office for all domestic Kuraray Group employees and a Global Compliance Hotline for Kuraray Group employees worldwide.
In addition to these, we have established our own Employee Consultation Office as a more accessible and consultative contact point, where we strive to identify even the slightest sign of a problem.
All employees of the Company and those who work for the Company on a subcontracted or other basis are eligible to use this system.
