Basic Policy
1. Establishment and continuous improvement of environmental management system
Kuraray Trading has set forth the "2026 Mid-Term Management Plan" starting in fiscal year 2022 to promote sustainability and create innovation, which are key issues for the Group. We will continue to expand our business based on the following management strategies and provide optimal solutions to our customers.
2. Compliance with Environmental Laws and Regulations
Comply with all environment-related laws, regulations, and rules to which we have agreed.
3. Realization of a Recycling-Oriented Society
Contribute to the realization of a recycling-oriented society through efforts to reduce and effectively use waste and utilize resource-saving and recycling systems.
4. Provide environmentally friendly products and services
We will strive to preserve the natural environment by providing products and services that prevent, reduce, and improve environmental pollution.
5. Raise employee awareness of environmental issues
Provide environmental education to all employees, temporary employees, and contractors to improve their understanding of our environmental policy and awareness of environmental issues.
Kuraray Trading Co., Ltd. is making an environmental contribution toward the realization of a low-carbon society by attaching the brand name to products and services we provide that are highly effective in reducing CO2 emissions and improving the environment.

We are promoting our own environmental initiatives centered on fibers and textiles, along with activities in which employees participate to contribute to the environment.
Declaration on ISCC PLUS Certification (International Sustainability Carbon Certification)
Kuraray Trading Co., Ltd. has acquired trader certification under ISCC PLUS Certification, an international carbon sustainability certification system, at its Tokyo Head Office.
ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) is an international sustainability and carbon certification program that uses a mass balance approach to manage and ensure that biomass and recycled materials produced and sold around the world are sustainable raw materials in the supply chain. It is a certification system to manage and ensure the sustainable use of biomass and recycled materials produced and sold throughout the world using a mass balance approach.
Certification will allow us to handle all products that are ISCC PLUS certified.
We pledge our commitment to comply with the ISCC PLUS requirements, in accordance with the latest ISCC regulations, and to avoid the practice of double counting our environmental contributions.
