High content functional masterbatch

Material with high functional oil content and long-lasting functionality

A masterbatch pellet for fibers and textiles and molding processing that incorporates functional oils, using our proprietary (Japanese Patent No.3963941) technology that allows various functional agents to be contained in thermoplastic resins, mainly polyolefins, at a ratio as high as up to 30%.

Features

Higher application capability than conventional products

High content functional masterbatch applied to fibers, films, sheets, coatings, paints, etc.

Functional oils are encapsulated in our proprietary interface polymers and molded to be applied to fibers and textiles, films, sheets, coatings, paints, etc.

This method differs from the conventional method in which a liquid is microencapsulated and adhered to the surface. Functional oils can be kneaded into resins from the start to produce melt-spun yarn, films, and other micro-molded products.

High content

High content (up to 30%) of functional oil

Functional oils are kneaded into polyolefins (PP and PE) with high content (up to 30%).

Sustained release

High content functional masterbatch CW (13% cedarwood oil blend) evaporation (40°C accelerated test)
When functional oils are impregnated or coated, the effect is temporary because they are released in a short period of time.
High content functional masterbatch, on the other hand, is kneaded with a high content of functional oil, which allows it to release slowly and remain effective over a long period of time.

Prevention of stickiness

High content functional masterbatch; Less sticky than conventional products
Functional oil comes out from the inside to the surface in minute quantities, forming an ultra-thin film on the surface of molded products and fibers without being sticky.

In addition to the above, it can be combined with various other functional oils.

It can be formed into films, injection molding, blow molding, extrusion molding, etc., as well as melt-spun fibers such as filament, staple fiber, monofilament, tape yarn, and spunbond. It can be used in a variety of home and commercial applications.

We are ready to produce high content functional masterbatches of various functional oils upon request.

Applications

We provide high content functional masterbatches with targeted functions.

An example of functionality
  • aromaticity
  • insect repellency
  • antibacterial
  • antifouling property

High content functional masterbatches are blended with raw materials in the manufacturing process of each material.

Example of material
  • nonwoven fabric
  • filament yarn
  • flm
  • molded product

New materials with the desired functionality can be created.

Development Partners Wanted

We are looking for ideas from other industries and fields to create new value using high content functional masterbatch technology.

We want to make molded products from the functional oil we have!
Expanding possibilities in injection of functional oils and molding into film and yarn!

We can mold films, injection molding, rotational molding, blow molding, extrusion molding, etc., as well as melt spinning of filament, staple fiber, monofilament, tape yarn, spunbond, meltblown, etc., for a variety of home and commercial applications.

We want to add value to our polymers and other materials!
Polymer and molding processing is also expanding its applications by adding functions to existing polymers!

Masterbatch pellets can be processed for melt spinning of long and short fibers in general, and for melt molding in general such as film, injection, spinning, and extrusion, thus enabling commercialization in various forms to retain the long-term efficacy of liquid functional agents.
In addition, high content functional masterbatch can be mixed with polyolefins and other thermoplastic polymers.
