Polyvinyl alcohol (polyvinyl alcohol. Acronyms are PVA and PVOH. (also known as poval in Japan) is the world's first functional resin commercialized by Kuraray and is one of the core products of the Kuraray Group. With four production bases in Japan, Germany, Singapore, and the United States, we boast the world's top share of the global market.

With properties such as water solubility, film formation, adhesion, emulsification, oil resistance, and chemical resistance, it is used in a wide range of applications including paper processing agents, adhesives, vinyl chloride polymerization stabilizers, and as a raw material for interlayer films for automotive windshields. In addition to general-purpose grades, we also offer high-performance grades with various characteristics.
