Industrial-use Poval film

Utilizing the characteristics of poval film, it is used in a wide range of applications such as packaging materials and release films.
General Name
poval film
  • Taking advantage of its excellent transparency, gloss, and flexibility, it is used as a packaging material for apparel products, working wear, bedding, and bedding.
  • Taking advantage of its good mold-releasing property with various materials, it is widely used as mold-releasing film when molding building materials such as FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastics), calcium silicate boards, and acrylic artificial marble.
  • Taking advantage of the characteristics of Poval film, it is also used in moisture-tight sheets that prevent condensation on wall materials.
  • Poval film is fluorine-free and can be incinerated. This film has a low environmental impact because SOx (sulfur oxides), which cause dioxins and acid rain, are extremely difficult to generate.

Features

Excellent transparency, gloss and flexibility

Poval film is used as a packaging material for apparel products, working wear, bedding, and bedding, taking advantage of its superior transparency, gloss, and flexibility.

Excellent peelability

It has good peelability with thermosetting resins such as unsaturated polyester and epoxy, and acrylic resins, and is widely used as mold release film when molding various building materials such as FRP, calcium silicate plates, and acrylic artificial marble.

Applications

Textile Packaging Film

Superior transparency, gloss, and flexibility of Poval film are utilized as a packaging material for apparel products, working wear, bedding, and more.
With Poval film, the beauty of the product itself can be more clearly expressed and a sense of luxury can be given.

*Only for poval film for textile product packaging, the name "KURARAY VINYLON FILM" is used.

Release film

  • For acrylic artificial marble (Solid Surface)

Widely used as release film for acrylic artificial marble.

It has good peelability with thermosetting resins such as acrylic resins and unsaturated polyester resins, and also exhibits behavior similar to polymerization shrinkage of resins, which prevents wrinkling of products and contributes to reduction of polishing loss.

  • For artificial marble (Engineered Stone)

Widely used as release film in the manufacture of artificial and synthetic marble. The film is flexible and strong enough to withstand large loads due to its good tracking with the mold. In addition, its high solubility contributes to the reduction of waste loss by dissolving the film in the polishing process.

  • For CFRP molding

In autoclave molding of CFRP, this film functions as both a release film and a bagging film, so that molding can be done with only one film without the need for other secondary materials. It retains its flexibility even in winter, so it follows moldings smoothly.

This improves work efficiency and significantly reduces sub-material costs and man-hours required for setting.
It can also be used as release film for autoclave molding, bagging film, and press molding.

Poval film is fluorine-free and can be incinerated. This film is extremely resistant to SOx (sulfur oxides), which cause dioxin and acid rain, and has a low environmental impact.

  • For other molding process

It has good peelability with thermosetting resins such as unsaturated polyester and epoxy, and acrylic resins, and is widely used as mold release film when molding various materials such as FRP, calcium silicate plates. Because of its flexibility and high strength, it is used for large moldings such as ship and vehicle components.

For moisture-proof and moisture-tight sheets

Taking advantage of Poval film's characteristics of "high moisture permeability at high humidity and low moisture permeability at low humidity," it is used as a moisture-tight sheet component that can prevent condensation in highly airtight housing wall materials.

As housing becomes increasingly airtight, the use of moisture-regulating airtight sheets prevents condensation from forming inside the house and contributes to extending the life of the house.
