It is an oil adsorption treatment material made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric with excellent oil absorbency, commercialized by Kuraray Trading Co., Ltd.
Features
Save manpower and improve safety
Although one or two people are required to attach and detach oil adsorption treatment material, the oil is absorbed by simply rotating the roller, thus saving manpower and improving safety compared to the work of repeatedly passing cardboard boxes, etc.
Significant reduction in process changeover time
Oil from the work rolls is adsorbed when it comes into contact with the oil adsorption treatment material, thus greatly reducing process changeover time.
(Backup roll oil can also be adsorbed, but in that case, extended switching time and touch conditions should be considered.)
Decrease in product loss
This helps reduce the number of defective products due to oil adhesion to the steel plate when work is resumed after changeover.
Economical for repeated use
Excellent oil adsorption performance allows for repeated use.
(Under normal conditions, the oil adsorption treatment material can be used 2-3 times each front and back, for a total of about 6 times.)
Removes dust from rolls
Removes not only liquid oil but also debris adhering to the rolls at the same time.

Mounting and use
- A support material such as an iron pipe (about 3 inches in outside diameter) is installed on the entry or exit side of the leveler roll.
- The center of the oil adsorption treatment material is held by the pipe as if it were bent over.
- The two ends of the folded oil adsorption treatment material are aligned and engaged in the roll.
- The rolls are rotated to feed oil adsorption treatment material between the rolls. (A clearance of about 3 cm between rolls is appropriate.)
