KURARAY LIQUID RUBBER is a high-viscosity liquid synthetic rubber in the form of water syrup.
They are broadly classified into liquid butadiene rubber (L-BR), liquid isoprene rubber (L-IR), and liquid styrene butadiene rubber (L-SBR).
When added during rubber kneading, it functions as a reactive plasticizer, reducing Mooney viscosity and improving productivity. In addition, by co-cross-linking with the base solid rubber, migration (bleed-out) can be suppressed and the quality of the final product can be maintained stable.
Applications are broadly bifurcated into tire and non-tire applications.
In tire applications, it is used in various parts such as tread, bead filler, and sidewalls, contributing to improved tire performance in terms of grip, fuel economy, and wear resistance.
In non-tire applications, it is also used in sealants, adhesives, flexographic printing plates, and rubber products such as belts and hoses to improve adhesion and provide flexibility.
