It is a C9 diol with a linear alkyl group. Due to its long chain length, its melting point is relatively high, but its 60°C viscosity is equivalent to that of acetone.

Moderate crystallinity:
Compared to diols with even carbon numbers, molecular chains are less likely to be oriented, and crystallinity is moderately suppressed, resulting in a lower melting point. Moderate crystallinity adds strength and flexibility to the resin and improves transparency.
