Activated carbon is a carbon material made by reacting carbon materials such as coconut shells and coal with gases and chemicals at high temperatures, and is equipped with micropores (10-200 Å diameter 10 Å = 1 nm).
Kuraray Co., Ltd. began producing activated carbon KURARAY COAL™ in 1965.
KURARAY COAL™ APG is a blend of coconut shell activated carbon and lead remover, and is suitable for removing dissolved lead from tap water. It is often used as filter media for water purifier filters.
