Activated carbon is a carbon material made by reacting carbon materials such as coconut shells and coal with gases and chemicals at high temperatures, and is equipped with micropores (10-200 Å diameter 10 Å = 1 nm).
Kuraray Co., Ltd. began producing activated carbon KURARAY COAL™ in 1965.

KURARAY COAL™ GG is a coconut shell activated carbon that adsorbs various harmful gases and odors.

Applications include cigarette filters, deodorizing filters, gas masks and deodorizing masks, deodorization in closed compartments such as refrigerators and cupboards, air purification in homes, automotives, and ships, removal of malodorous and toxic gases, and purification of raw and product gases.
