Activated carbon is a carbon material made by reacting carbon materials such as coconut shells and coal with gases and chemicals at high temperatures, and is equipped with micropores (10-200 Å diameter 10 Å = 1 nm).
Kuraray Co., Ltd. began producing activated carbon KURARAY COAL™ in 1965.

KURARAY COAL™ GW-H has well-developed micropores, making it suitable for the removal of trace organic impurities in the liquid phase.
It is also used for decolorization and purification of raw materials and intermediates in various industries due to its high purity.
